An annual tradition in the vein of our beloved Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Our participation in the Real Men Read initiative emphasizes the importance of education as a fundamental pillar of personal and community development. For 103 years, "Go to high school, go to college" serves as a pillar National Program of the fraternity which encourages the African American community to pursue academic excellence in secondary and post-secondary education. The Lansing Alphas are proud to continue this tradition as we read to elementary and middle school aged children promoting the value of literacy in personal and professional growth.
